Our Mission
Beyond artistic careers, our students will be active members of society. Rooted in the meaning of the Ankh symbol – “The Breath Of Life” – Ankh Academy of the Arts, embraces the diversity of our student population through the Culturally Relevant Arts Education (C.R.A.E) framework. We believe our children can use dance as a vessel for activism, empowering them to find their voice, and advocate for justice in all fields, while changing the lives of others through movement and storytelling. Through high level dance training, diverse dance content, and exploring traditions from various cultural backgrounds, students gain a deeper understanding and empathy of different racial and ethnic groups. This prepares them to be culturally confident leaders who can engender positive change in our world.

Led by our founder, a professional dancer with over 25 years of experience in Ballet, Modern, Opera, and Broadway companies—Now an accomplished Entrepreneur and Choreographer, with a Master’s degree in Dance Education and K–12 teaching certification from New York State.
